Now call them. Honeywell replaces safes lost in fires. See if they give you another one. Also if you ever test again I would have a leaf blower in on that fire. I’m a retired firefighter. Your campfire is probably half to three quarters the heat of a structure fire.

Caution - do not open those safes when they are still hot. Paper burns at 451 deg F, but with lack of oxygen will not burn. If you open the safe and the paper is hotter than 451 the contents will instantly burst into flames when the oxygen hits them.

You forgot to put some coins in. The safe took it like a champ. Not very secure from breaking into but safe from fire.

It's people like him that keep us from getting burnt. If people didn't test these companies around the globe we probably wouldn't actually have fire safes, we would pay for it but it would be a scam it and all the items inside would crumble in the fire, sounds unfair, probably makes you uncomfortable. It's like internet, people are going to test how fast it is so if your paying for 500mbps blitz premium internet package with a fancy modem & a feels good in the hand beefy cat 6 ethernet cable & you really get "69" mbps average-you be calling the company boss "I think we have a problem sir".

Many people who lost their houses in the November 2018 "Camp Fire" in Paradise and Magalia, California found nothing but ashes their "fire-proof" safes afterward. Some even reported melted jewelry and ruined firearms, which are more heat resistant than paper documents and computer media. That was a wildfire driven by high wind, and it is likely when the houses burned, the fire was much hotter than the fires used by the testing laboratories who certify fire-proof safes.

It's not clear what the purpose was of incinerating the product carton while the safe was in the fire.

Sir, I came across your video while researching fireproof safes. I enjoyed your demonstration, however what I found offensive is your constant referral to the box as a "she" or a "her". Your repeated comments such as, "open her up", "get her in", "she's a burnin'", "she's on there", etc., are not only offensive but improper English. Perhaps the women in your life have never pointed this out to you. A fireproof safe or any object is referred to as "it" in conversation, not as a "he" or a "she".

So, office fire, about that temperature, considering the safe is in the vicinity of the heat source; can bring down heat treated, coated and reinforced military grade steel, aka WTC pillars...  all of them, but a safe can with stand it. I've seen fire resistant shields on wood, and they're outdated and they resisted office scale fires. More like house fire temperature.. Curious, how is that a popular story? Guess we're seeing little clues of fire resistance in action, and this one is small.

Most fire rated boxes are for 30 minutes at a relatively low temperature. Usually around 1500 degrees or less depending on the thickness of the fire retardant layer in the box. Fire safes are just plastic or sheet metal boxes with a layer of plaster of paris inside of them.
