Most would just take the safe, and open it later, or smash it with a sledge, its very weak anyway.

My brother had a model like this ... it was not fixed to the wall so the holes were already on open at the back, you could use a small wooden stick to press the reset button .. it took 20 seconds so I had his hashi and money .. he became very angry :D then we smoked and everything was forgotten ! :D

This safe is to store guns, passports, documents is not for cash or jewelry. For money you need a different kind of safe.

My reset button is on the inside of the battery box wear I unhooked the battery box latch to enable the reset button and got to excited only to turn the safe upside down and have the batteries fall out disabling it....then managed to push the batteries back it showing my wife how I did it... For her to then break into it taking my 200,000 grand then divorcing me and telling me she didn't do it....this was just a test I had 1.8 million in the attic....moral of the story beware of who you show the safe and placement

So if you already have this safe or any safe that has a reset button similar to this take a beer bottle cap and duct tape it over the button. It will fix that problem, but there may be more.

Cyberdan1000 I was going to suggest the same thing just put some sort of a guard over the button. Tho I'm sure there are other flaws to this safe this is an easy fix for the button.

Dont even need to reset the code, Take a solid object and hit the top of the control pad right above the handle you turn, while at the same time turning the handle, if your timing is right, it will pop right open.

I would just set the combo and then superglue over the reset button or just cut the wires to it. Problem solved.

but if they put a double layer on the side of door you cant insert that thing.. and i am sure all the safes have a door with tho sides in contact in a L form for ensure safety of content

Quite stupid that the combination can be changed when the lock is closed, this is a programming logic fault...

at 3:22 - very obvious there's a cutout in the flange behind the door above the reset button, was that there from factory or just cut to allow entry for this demonstration? To be fair should have been mentioned that the safe was altered to demonstrate the fault, otherwise I don't think this method would have worked. Doesn't mean this safe if state-of-the-art or anything but I think it's unfair to not present all the facts

Its a lot easier to prevent others to press that button using that flat piece of metal by blocking it.

Sounds like crap firmware as opposed to a completely crap safe. Obviously the safe's software should not permit a code change when it is locked.
