I'm from Canada, and I'm pretty sure that those tires wouldn't work very well in snow. Wouldn't they fill up with snow, and result in a very unstable ride?

      Hi @Scotty,

Now, that’s one great revolutionary invention.

But... I wonder what Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials might be thinking after this? Perhaps of course creating a method to debilitate this new kind of tire? They’re either on R&D or already have the blueprint! 😆... 😆... 😆

@Simon Forsberg Maybe because the Manual says 10K miles and that seems a bit extreme for the FIRST oil change ever.

ShadowPBPBC .... I’ve seen a video on retreading them. Don’t know what the cost was or if they last same as new. I would think the biggest problem short term would be finding a shop near you to do the work or paying rather high shipping.

scotty i've actually used these tires, they are BETTER BY FAR, SUPERIOR SHOCK ABSORPTION BY A FACTOR OF 20 TO 40, SUPERIOR TRACTION BY A FACTOR OF 2 TO 4, AND THEY DON'T GO FLAT...NOW THE ONLY THING I WONDER ABOUT IS: can they be retread because they will only wear out on the tread as far as i know, and how many times can they be retread before the inner core goes bad? i used to go thru 6 flats a year in my job, since slapping these on my machines i have had ZERO FLATS AND I RUN OVER NAILS AND UTILITY FLAGS LIKE MAD BECAUSE OF ALL THE STUFF FALLING OUT OF CONTRUCTION TRUCKS. these tires also go over marshy ground where air tires CAN'T, they handle snow and rain twice as good as the best snow tire which was the cooper discover ht original with the center bead and all the ribs like the michellin ht's.
speed bumps are barely felt at 30mph and when you hit them at 45 it's like you hit them at 20mph with air tires. pot holes can damage them the same as air tires but they go thru pot holes vastly far superior.
if you can get these retread 2-3 times $1000 per tire is WORTH EVERY PENNY! i go thru mud like it's a pontoon boat!

I think also that if you leave the car parked for an extended period of time with those new type tires , there may be a pemanent flat spot.

My opinion. Safety regulation. Maybe their was no reason to change them, so they had to take it out. Or a higher % of them was lasting way longer than expected.
