I purchased the Ring Alarm Security Kit, which includes a base station, a keypad, a contact sensor, a motion detector, and a range extender. I’m also going to talk about the Ring Stickup Cam Wired, which I already had.
Ring doesn’t require that you pay for 24/7 professional monitoring- you have the choice to self-monitor your system through the Ring- Always app. The app has so-so ratings from both iPhone and Android users, so that’s something to keep in mind. However, if you do want professionals, you’ll choose a Ring Protect Plan, either Protect Basic or Protect Plus. Both plans have flexible contracting and give you 60 days of cloud storage plus local storage. Whether or not you choose to do professional monitoring, you’ll receive motion alerts, two-way audio, and livestreaming. Fortunately, cellular backup is included with all systems, so everything will stay on even if the power goes out.
