This looks pretty identical to the Jaco branded bike lock sold at Jernia here in Norway, same looking key and all. Probably the same lock, just with different branding (I think Jaco is Jernia's own store brand; I at least dont see it anywhere else either in real life or through google). It is also pretty cheap, especially for Norway, being currently sold for 109 NOK, which is about 12.5 USD (granted, thats due to a sale on it they currently have on, the regular price is 199 NOK (23 USD))

        - My thoughts: this is actually a good lock!

What do you think is a good easily carried lock. Specific, take some time to pick and a obvious large tool to defeat.

I have been watching you, Bosnian bill and lock noob for just over a year now. By the way you guys are awesome!! You guys have motivated me to dive head deep into spending crazy amounts of money on locks just 2 pick. I mean like hundreds! I am a maintenance man at large bus depot. So i get to mess with a lot of locks. But I do finally have a question. In this lock you are picking on this video you talk about sliders..? I guess I am just having a hard time visualizing what is going on inside. I did end up buying one of these kinds of locks just to learn more about them and how they operate. I do see the slider.. But any idea how many it has? And they seem to go from side to side.. Well mine does have two sides to it because it is a European lock. So I might just have to cut it in half and open one side just to see how it operates. I can't seem to find out any more information about the insides of these locks. What are they even called? It always says "high security lock". Lol but thanks for another awesome video and any information you are willing to share would very helpful

I think a nutcracker brute force attack would take only seconds to break those links.

With the way those chain 'links' are designed, it looks like you could just stand on one or pin it against something solid and pull on the next link over and snap the joint pretty easily. Especially if it's unhardened.

Locks, like every security measure, only keep honest people honest and prevent you from being an easy target of opportunity to the common crook. However, if someone wants to do YOU harm (break in your house, steal your stuff, hack your computer, etc.) they will find a way, regardless of your security.

Hey man, discovered your channel today and I've had an interest in lick picking for a while, do you have any recommendations as to getting some tools to start and so locks to practice on? Sorry if you made a vid on this, I'm working through yours now.

Have you done the master lock 1500id (directional lock https://www.masterlock.com/personal-use/product/1500iD). From other channels it looks like it's not pickable (without taking it apart, non-destructive) wondering if you have tried.

Well, considering the time it took YOU to pick it it's probably got a 3/10 of the "Deranged Meth Heads with hairpins" and "NOOB with Amazon kit and legit criminal intent".
But, might try to chop it off. If it chops off easily with bolt cutters definitely not buy material since 99% of lock pickers do that as you mentioned - well "Brute Force" suff.
