No, once again, there are no price "points." Those are called prices.

Yeah, well, "price points" vary. It's linguistic filler.

HG TV & the biz channels use this phrase very frequently. Intends to imply precision on things that vary continually. Auction driven snap shots. It causes great misunderstandings about how markets work. And that alters perception.

Can you tell me what kind of hydraulic cutter that is and what brand. Cause when I look it up it says cable cutter or rebar cutter, thank you joe murphy, [email protected] or 917 362 6949.

A lock killed LPL's fathers so now he swears revenge by brutally destroying every lock he can get his hands on

Maybe compare to a so called better lock shackle? Do more expensive locks have stronger shackles and if so at what hardness value ?

i have an idea! you need to combine carbide with steel. make a carbide tube and fill it with steel. you won't be able to use the shown method. still better use glass-wire cable instead of steel!!! and fill the gaps with something rigid... steel? do we have any material with sufficiently low surface tension to fill gaps?

Why aren't the jaws of the hydraulic cutter lined up correctly?

So you can make something "Tough" but when you do it becomes brittle. How retarded are these lock manufactures?

Interesting, I wonder if those cutters are supposed to be offset like that, or those are just shit quality tool.
Putting those dies offset reduces cutting efficiency and applies tremendous twisting stress in addition to the spreading force on its frame.

I just picked my first lock today. It was an abus 78kc, I picked the key override with a paperclip as a pick and a pin as a tension tool.

When you use the hydraulic cutters, I'm bothered that the blades are offset. Is this by design or just sloppy tolerances?

I don't think this is very fair on the lock. Have you even considered how many pairs of blades you can get per stolen and sold bike?

Probably several, along with a spare hydraulic cutter, too.

Can you turn the shakles into cutting tools for lathes? That stuff seems really hard. Would have to dress and braze on the bits i guess.

Is the "boron carbide" labelling true? How much of the shackles are B4C? Just a thin plating, a thin layer, thick layer or the whole thing?

This seems like more work than just sticking a chicken bone in the lock and wiggling it around. I mean, the big 'un just popped open on its own.

Legit question... Is there a commercially produced lock on the market "affordable" that could even resist those hydraulic cutters?? I'm guessing you would be very hard pressed to run down to the local hardware store and buy a lock that couldn't be defeated by that sort of attack. a cheap lock with shackle shielding would do better... or a well constructed gate. with shielding built into the lock hasp.

I just got the big one there. I am learning lock picking for my security business in the future. How is the pick resistance? I am a beginner so I am having some trouble with it. I opened a few 4 pin locks fine. This one is a bit harder for me. Pointers please?

This test is dumb as hell. Just make a video of a Menards brand angle grinder and cut your strongest lock, because it would. There fixed it all for you now you don’t have to desperately make dumb videos and go back to picking
