Maybe those belts are trying to tell you to loose some lbs.

My bigfoot gun belt with steel core works with my suit and jeans and t-shirt and appendix the clips just miss the buckle. The other part about using the fashion belt would depend on your holster my one holsters uses a clip that needs a thick belt to grab onto

Former Kore Essentials owner here. That belt won't last you 10 years, like you say you hope it will.

I want to love Kore Essentials , but I've gone through two of their 1.5 nylon tactical belts in less than a year . First the track starts acting funky , the buckle just slides instead of clicks across it . Then the buckle started getting stuck and wouldn't loosen without a lot of force . Last but not least I have kept having trim down the edge of the belt because the teeth in the buckle were ripping through the nylon causing the belt to completely fail and come undone ... which would lead to me trimming the end . Well there is only so much end to trim and I ran out of two belt ends to trim in less than a year .
These belts are a great idea and a great concept but they just aren't tough enough for me and my needs yet .
I want to love these belts ! But not yet .

My levis leather belt keeps my g23 nice and stable. I just wear the buckle off center to the left because i carry appendix.

I was just coming to make a comment that this is too slow to watch. Then I noticed the comment right below mine. I couldn't wait around for the part I wanted to see. I will look elsewhere to find out what belt I need

I think the Kore TACTICAL belts are great especially for BIG GUYS and LARGE CALIBER CARRY. They're solid, stiff and good looking. I love mine.

The top edge of my Kore nylon belt feels like a dull hacksaw blade. Wearing a tucked-in undershirt is essential for comfort . . . and I'm thin.

These are by far the best belt I've ever used! I love the adjustment method and just how easy it makes it to get the "just right" amount of tightness, and make small adjustments on the fly throughout the day as needed. Granted, I'm a skinny guy so find both comfortable. But, I can understand what you're saying about the nylon maybe being abrasive for bigger guys. I will say though, that the leather belt's edges are smooth and should eliminate your problem. In addition, the end of the leather belt does have a taper so threads through easier than the more square end on the nylon version. The leather one is my EDC belt and I just picked up the extra nylon version because they offer an extra belt it for $25 when buying one. And I thought it might be good for an outside the waistband holster for range/class use, etc.

Just got mine today. Love it, sort of. For me its the buckle. That gap where you mentioned in the buckle, that's where I get 2 pressure points. One on either side of the buckle. Think it should be flat across the back. Also I'm not a fat guy but not skinny either so I feel ya with that little bit of "roll over" in the gut department. Good review for those of us that don't fit the washboard abs mold.

                                          1) You should stay on POINT & not drag the video on & on ect
                                          2) Your review is on the KORE belt not COBRA belt so why bring that in to the review?
                                          3) As far as the ends having things sticking out use a FIBER wheel to smooth the edge without melting it or remove the stiching
                                          4) By the time I watched your ENTIRE video. I called & ordered my KORE belt & it was delivered & I also sized it. It fits good & feels comfortable. Then your video ended.
                                          5) Overall your presentation was better than most You Tubers & your well spoken, just a tad long 😀😁👌
                                          6) I cut my belt on my Miter Saw quick & easy with perfect STRIGHT CUT

The Kore belt is so much better than the cobra buckle style belts, getting it on and off is a breeze, and with quarter inch adjustments you can make it the perfect fit. Also have cool styles but most important it works!!!

Purchased two of these belts with X3 buckles and the belt hanger about 6 months ago. They're attractive enough and well made for the price, the largest benefit of this option over others being the reduced bulk in the buckle area, which is why I originally went to try these out.

My biggest issue is that the reinforced core does not extend all the way around the belt: the 10" length with the notches is not reinforced, which is a critical area for carrying a gun, particularly for AIWB carry. Aside from that these are decent belts for the money, just not if you're carrying a 30oz gun or probably any gun, so points are lost on the "Gun Belt" side of things. The other downsides are that the buckle pinches and is not comfortable if it is shifted to an off center of your body, the primary pinch point being at my hip bones. Lastly, the edges will dent where the weight of the buckle rests and where the clips of your holster ride, which is not a huge deal but might be an issue if you plan to use this as a double-duty gun belt and a formal belt.

The tactical belt line is different in that they extended the reinforced section on those, but until they update the leather belts that way it's not worth it. I've found myself going back to my traditional study 1.5" leather belt from Hank's Belts for both comfort and effectiveness.

Summary: not worth it if you are carrying anything larger than a subcompact pistol. Pretty solid if you're looking for a sturdy belt that you don't plan on strapping a gun onto.

You might try a duty belt. I have one that is adjustable. It’s a bit of a pain to adjust, but it gets the job done. For me personally, I put the clips of my holster on the inner belt and the outer belt clamps over top. It’s extremely sturdy and comfortable. I work in a trade and often hang tools on it and have not experienced any sag.

If you’re interested, check out 5.11 duty belts.

I’m just like you a little heavy in the winter A little lighter in the summer. Very happy you mentioned about it being rough to wear on your stomach. I was close to buying one but now I think I’m going to look elsewhere next I’m going to be looking at the steel core belts. Again thank you I thought it was a great review!

Great belt and extremely durable. They are priced a little high but, I guess you get what you pay for. I’ve been wearing mine everyday for a year and no problems. I love the infinite adjustability.
