Safes are made to keep kids out and to slow criminals down. Unless u have a vault they can get in. 100$ worth of golf balls they can roll the whole safe out. "GOOD" safe companies brag about these crazy doors when an angle grinder will still cut the side off pretty easily.... get mid grade safe, good homeowner/renters ins. Spread ur stuff out over several safe, or even locations.

Yeah I have a key for mine and I'm able to open the door and actually know that I touched the reset button, and still it won't let me reprogram the damn combo.
                  NOW WHAT?

Not careful you can bust the switch head off since they too are cheap as shit.

Just use a magnet on the outside top left hand corner on the door to open the safe. It's a lot easier. 10 seconds max.

Why is it better to have guns in a safe even a cheap safe ? Because the penalty for safe cracking is much stiffer than common theft

Or wire the button to an ear piercing siren. If you don't have this safe, just make a sticker like the one shown in the video and put it on the corner of the safe so the thief will waste time and get frustrated trying to trigger a reset button that isn't there.

That would prevent flat through the door or even drill through the back and wire to reach.

                                                                                                  1. Remove the inside cover. (Use #2 Phillips screwdriver).
                                                                                                  2. Unplug the button cable from the circuit board.
                                                                                                  3. Remove the button from the cover.
                                                                                                  4. Feed the button cable into the hole in the cover.
                                                                                                  5. Plug the cable back into the circuit board.
                                                                                                  6. Reinstall the inside cover.
                                                                                                  7. Bend the button cable downwards 3 or 4 inches.
                                                                                                  8. Apply tape over the cable hole, so the wire doesn't move around.

Now, the button is hanging down like a wet noodle..
It will take a VERY long time to press that loose hanging button with a shim..
But, it's still easy to operate when you need to change the combo..
