i don't know when this was made but" your average Cabela's or tractor supply safe have vertical and horizontal 1.5" locking bars. the safe it self is barely moveable by 2 big men. and you won't be able to lift that door if dropped on back. and those are the $600-$800 safes

I wouldn’t call that a premium model safe.

This is not a Safe, its a Fishcan. A German Gunsafe in Resistgrade 1 or 2 cannot open by Bars. My Gunsafe Grade 1 is screwed on the Wall in a Corner. 8 Strong Anchors one Inch thick hold em on Place. No Chance bevor Police is coming up

These should not be called safes, because they are in fact only fire protection boxes, there is a big difference.

Misleading video. If the safe was bolted down they would not have the leverage to pry the door so easily.

It would take the thieves a little time to get into your home and find your safe so let’s start the timer a little early. *thieves find and flip over safe in 7 seconds*

hardly a premium safe. tipped over too easy, door too light, no shifting lock bars.

Of course they picked a safe with no top or bottom bolts. Safe wasn't bolted down. Prying a safe that's bolted in a small place like a walk in closet would make it 10 times harder. And a safe with top and bottom bolts it would be 30 times harder. Gruffunders cost a fortune. Stick with a fort Knox. There higher end models are just as good as a graffunder but not as expensive.

I work for a high end safe company. A few tips. 1) Make sure you are getting a minimum of a quarter inch of solid steel for the body, Anything with the word "gauge" in it is trash. 2) Adding a concrete amalgamate fire cladding will help tremendously as it makes a safe much heavier and a criminal will need to pry/saw/defeat 2 inches of concrete before even getting to the solid steel. 3) three way boltwork is a great thing to have as it adds locking bolts to the top and bottom of the door. It makes prying the safe much more difficult. 4) Make sure your safe is as flush as possible and has no gap between the door and the body. If you cant shove a crowbar into the door it makes it much more difficult. 5) To sum it all up, you get what you pay for. Do your research, decide the value (both monetary and sentimental) and spend accordingly. P.S. Shameless self promotion ask for mike

Rule no.1 use your safe made from cheap thin sheet metal as a decoy. But bolt it to the floor in a corner so they waste more time trying to get it open.

The door doesnt close evenly and the turning wheel is jamed and the bolts are bent and cracked. It's a shame because he didn't have anything in it but he had it closed and locked. Ohhhhh well many people don't consider what they loose. Not only what is in the safe but you loose your now busted safe. Buy a better safe and don't end of being out for a while with no safe. Hard lesson learned indeed.

When this happens to the safe does the safe become useless and can it be fixed? Or is the safe junk after its pried open. Pretty much what I am asking is what gets damaged?

                                                                            • Fence Estimates

If a thif want to get into your safe , they will . Some how , some time .
Tell me how safe is your safe ...? if a thif was pointing a gun on you or your famely ?
So the safest thing to do , is to keeper quite about it , if you do buy a safe and you do feel you have something to put in it .... think .

Just set up some hidden wifi cameras that alert your phone when the motion sensor is tripped. Then you can watch on your phone as the bad guys break in, move your safe, start setting up their tools and you can call the cops from where ever you are. Then you can even watch the cops live while they arrest the bad guys. With today’s technology and cameras criminals do not have the time to spend moving your safe, prying, cutting, drilling, etc.
