Sportsman steel used to be out of LongBeach, CA. Crappy safe and corrupt as hell. Will say anything and don't back it up. Stay away. There are so many good safes out there. Hopefully they have changed, but you get what you pay for.

I've yet to see any gun safe servive a serious house fire and protect its inerds, not that I've seen alot but I've seen canon , winchester, and a browning safe all fail in house fires. These where in country setting when fire departments didn't get there until it was a total loss. Nothing survived inside the safes. Best to just have a good insurance policy and some thing to keep your stuff locked in to keep children out.

Those 1" locking bolts look like toothpicks on that BIG ASS safe!
This safe should have at least 2" locking bolts!
I do like the 3" thick door!... Good Idea!
So, how much does this thing cost???

This guy is a liar, I purchased a Safe door from this company for 4k. These people do not know shit about building a safe. How do know all this? Because the door handle shaft broke off, had to drill a hole into 8 inches of concrete to unlock the door from the inside. I took the back of the door off on the inside to repair their shitty work. The door handle shaft had been heated up, so it lost its tensile strength. I looked at every part of that door and all the locking mechanism was out of alignment, what a joke. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY>>>>>

You have to shop around a bit to find a used safe seller with in-stock products, but there are several safe styles and products that were produced as "GSA Security Containers. Some of them are pretty heavily armored, and when you can find them they are often pretty cheap. There are different types, including types designed specifically for weapons. The Brown HD may also be of interest...it's a plain safe, but very good quality and at a reasonable price. As a TL-rated safe, it is built to withstand powered tool attacks, and yet it isn't that much more than the mid-level gun safes that can't even resist a fire axe!

Guys, the emperor series is a TL15, the graffunder F series is TL30.... Meaning they're TL rating is for the DOOR ONLY. so that's means I go through the side where it's 1" steel plate and 1.5" 'concrete'. You're right I never broke into a safe but I've seen carbide and steel cutting circular power saws cut through 1" steel plate very quickly. Then you can use a sledgehammer assuming you have room to swing it and bust up the concrete fairly quick I assume and be into the safe. Yes the door on the graffunder I doubt I would be able to get through but anyone with half a brain should know not to go through the door but the sides which are less than half as strong.

This looks like a nice gun safe but "the best" is a title that will be hotly debated. While 1/2 inch of plate armor is a helluva lot more than 99% of gun safes, but it is still far from the thickest armor. AmSec's HS in TL-30 and TL-30x6, Graffunder Weapon Safes in TL-15,TL-30, and Brown's HD in TL-15,TL-30,TL-30x6 have significantly more armor than a C-rate safe.

Is your fire material high-density composite? What is the strength? Additionally, you mention comparisons to TL-rated safes and TRTL-rated safes. What independent testing has been done with skilled attacks with tooling and skilled attacks with cutting torches? What fire testing has the UL done, and at what temp for what duration?

First, relockers are what lock the door up when someone drills the lock out. Many gun safes have one. Our best safes have 4 independent barrel relockers and one brass arm relocker within the lock. That's a total of 5 relockers. What's unique is our relockers are 1" x 5" of solid steel. Even if you knew where the relockers were, they're so thick, a 5/8" drill bit would only put a hole in the middle of the relocker. In 36 years we've never had a door drilled open in an attack. Their was a lawsuite against them for Fraudulent, the safe that the customer purchased from the factory was not the safe that they received. The safe looked like high school kids built it. It had absolutely no fire liner in it, the doors hit each other when they closed. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.
