You unchecked the "delete" thing in the F-Secure GUI from malware.44! Seriously, try again.

You are seeing a Sophos advertisement in Hitman Pro because Sophos acquired Surfright since December 2015, Surfright is the company that made Hitman Pro.

less theatrics and more review. What is the performance profile of the product like? And especially important how well does the performance and detection hold up over time. Point in time reviews for security really aren't that useful, what is useful is knowing that a company is consistently nailing security, while not slowing down your computer so much that it ends up doing more harm than good.

F Secure is moderate in terms of resource usage. You shouldn't notice any slowdown if you have a fast computer but it is not the lightest product out there.

Everyone please remember, even the best antivirus engines miss threats so whatever AV you chose always use a second opinion on demand scanner. all the reviewers use a combination of av of choice plus malwarbytes, hitman pro, and zemana. I use all three and always find that what one software misses another is sure to catch.

So if I used F-Secure and Malwarebytes as a second line of defense, would I be all set? I'm a novice user but I am very smart. I use common sense online and don't click on things at random. I just go online and do what I set out to do.

check out secureaplus it uses 12 diff. antivirus engines, is cloud based so light on system and catches near to 100 prercent of all the crap out there. i use malwarebytes, hitmanpro, and zemana as my second opinion on demand scanners.

I really like the test. Sophos recently bought Surfright, and that's why there are Sophos ads in HitmanPro. I was glad it did pretty well. I'm pretty sure that ebeebe.exe was started by Malware (44).exe which was running in the background before the restart.

F-Secure isn't very popular when it comes to selling their software directly, but they are huge when it comes to selling it as a white box program through ISP and service providers.

Yesterday I removed Facebook virus (which is about taging and sending malicious messages to all contacts) from my uncle's PC only because of F-Secure Online Scanner (actually Faceboof was offered me to use it). BIS, Emsisoft Emergency Kit didn't remove this virus. It's strange...

+Leone hacker Maybe they are just experimenting with the idea on a small scale to see how it affects their finances. Or maybe they just want the product targeted to a very particular set of people (who wouldn't use their paid solutions). I am not sure, but maybe if it works out well for Kaspersky, we might see a global version of the product.

Voodoo shield, can't preach it enough, it beats all a/v solutions, especially if you use a web filter and comodo firewall, you don't need  anything else.

@The PC Security Channel Well let me ask you this question, why is it more effective on dealing with a firmware rootkit and antivirus products are pretty much useless against it? ---In regards to all these other programs, none of them seem to be quite as user friendly as this one and with its cuckoo sandbox feature-(its analysis is best ive seen yet)it can make decisions when tough whether to let something questionable through or not , easier for you . One more thing, command lines are a major tool rootkits/virus's use these days and I see no product or a/v solution to block these background command lines as effective as this besides no virus thanks radar pro. I still think you should compare these products atleast for the comsumers to decide as to whether or not they are worth investing into .

+Dana.k.a.bradpitt Voodoo shield simply locks down your system to anything but the trusted/whitelisted applications. It is not really malware protection. There are several sandboxing/lockdown applications that use the same approach. I do take a look at such programs once in a while, but there is not much to test or compare with such programs, mostly it is just a demonstration of how the product works.

The only thing I could about it doesn't have a HIPS or sandbox module and it doesn't breakdown categories like PUPs so it would seem not to have a behavior element to it. Thanks for the review.

"M.exe" was for some reason set as skip by default, any idea why this is when all the other files were set to delete?
