this was kinda whack. u chose a fire safe. why not choose a regular safe that has thicker walls due to no insulation.

I'm always surprised why people trying to enter safes try to go through the hardest part of the safe: the locked door. Cutting through the sides is far easier (most high-end safes use 10 gauge hardened metal). A good blade and saw will go through THAT steel without a problem... thinner steel? A hacksaw will do the job.

FWIW, I think the security of this safe is more than adequate for its intended use. No thieves are going to attack the safe with a circular saw while they are in the house. The biggest risk is that the thieves are going to carry the thing away and that risk is the obvious one to any one that buys it. If somebody wants serious security for high value items this item is obviously not that. Still the video was entertaining and perhaps educational to somebody that actually thought that a cheap, relatively light, not securely attached safe could provide more than minimal security.

What ever metal it was, there were no sparks, so I am guessing it is an aluminum alloy. One bang from a big hammer will collapse the sides and the door will probably pop open. Dropping from a height will probably achieve the same result.

Clearly, this safe could have been made a lot cheaper, by having no door.

Kind of a redundant test since these are solely made to protect documents, photos or whatever from fire and heat.

The way you handled that circular saw made me really nervous.

Stand to the side of the machine while operating and never, like you incorrectly did in the video, put your body or hands behind the saw.

It can jam and jump backwards, over your fingers.

It looks to like a C-Rate Safe costs about $500 and TL-15 about $1,000, whereas this is what, <$100? So if you are just storing a few thousand of jewelry and watches, might this serve adequately?
